Dr. Hamad at the emergency meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Women's Development Organization.

Dr. Hamad, Minister of Women's Affairs has participated via zoom in the Ministerial Council of the Women's Development Organization, in order to, discuss the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip and the deteriorating humanitarian situation especially for Palestinian women.
Dr. Hamad initiated her speech by giving condolences for the state of Kuwait for the loss of their late Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Then, she commended the emergency call for this virtual meeting by the head of the Women's Development Organization and thanked the Islamic States that had responded to the call, demonstrating their keenness to support Palestinian women and stand by the Palestinian people.
She confirmed that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is a new genocide and holocaust beyond 1948 Nakba, supported by the failure of the United Nations system and international legitimacy to achieve peace and security for Palestinian People. Such as, failure of the security council to issue a ceasefire resolution and opening safe corridors to deliver humanitarian aid for civilians in the Gaza Strip.
She also stressed the priorities for supporting Palestinian women, is through: 1. mitigate the social and economic consequences of the Israeli occupation. 2. urgent humanitarian and medical relief. 3. economic empowerment. 4. Public health. 5. provision of medicines and medical supplies for epidemics and diseases affecting girls and women. 6. monitoring and documenting Israeli violations and crimes. And 7. Launch media campaigns to expose Israeli violations.
She concluded that the recommendations were adopted at the end of this meeting by the member States of the Women's Development Organization, which will be translated into effective mechanisms and thoughtful steps within a specific time frame.
