Al-Khalili meeting with ActionAid Palestine: Institutions' efforts and initiatives are an important factor in bringing about positive international change towards the Palestinian cause

The Minister of Women’s Affairs, Ms. Mona Al-Khalili stressed through her meeting with ActionAid Palestine that the importance of support provided by Action Aid Palestine in the Gaza Strip and in the rest of the governorates, and that interaction and responsiveness to the needs of Palestinians, especially women, contribute to enhancing resilience to the occupation and its crimes.
She stressed the Ministry's keenness to coordinate, consult and develop partnerships with all institutions working in the women's sector, and noted that the efforts of these institutions intersected with the vision and policy of the Ministry to protect and empower women.
Moreover, she confirmed that the government gives great importance and priority to relief and protection programs in all Palestinian cities, particularly in the Gaza Strip, whose women suffer from a tragic economic, social and health reality.
Then, the Action Aid presented the work of the foundation and the direct services they provide in the Gaza Strip for women in particular. and that they were the first institution to document the birth of Caesarean section in the Gaza Strip Through their role in activating international movement through Action AID in Britain, Denmark and other countries, in addition to food assistance and medical relief through women's institutions it supports in the Gaza Strip.
Finally, the tow have agreed to hold in-depth technical meetings to discuss a joint priority and intervention map aimed at supporting, protecting and empowering women and exposing violations of the occupation against them.
