2024-05-28

The Minister of Women’s Affairs, Ms. Mona Al-Khalili received today in her office the delegation of the REFORM Foundation, where they discussed the Foundation's report on Palestinian women's protection and empowerment policies for the year 2023, presented by the vice chairman of the foundation Ms. Carmen Keshik.

And she welcomed the REFORM Foundation's effort and discussed with the Foundation's delegation ways to develop these reports to benefit policymakers in various official institutions.

Ms. Al-Khalili stressed the importance of complementarity of efforts between the various Palestinian official and civil institutions, especially in the current political and economic circumstances, in the light of the war of genocide and the continuing aggression against the Palestinian society and the Palestinian geography in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Then, she outlined the Ministry's priorities and policies within the Government program, which come in complementarity with all ministries to advance the political, economic and social realities of Palestinian women, as well as the recruitment of international support and advocacy to expose violations of the occupation and hold them accountable for the crimes they commit against the Palestinian people in general and against women in particular.

Moreover, she confirmed that the approach of the 19th government was based on the principle of complementarity, partnership and coordination between official institutions and civil society institutions.

And lastly, the two parties agreed to continue coordination and cooperation for women's and youth issues.
