The Minister of Women’s Affairs, Ms. Mona Al-Khalili, received a delegation of the Palestinian Contractors Union, represented by the chairman of the Union, Mr. Ahmed Al-Qadi, the Secretary, Engineer Mahmoud Hamadna and a number of a women contractors. And she stressed the importance of enhancing the role and participation of women in the contracting sector as a non-stereotypical sector of women's work.

Upon that, she noted that the ministry is fully prepared to study and guide the sectors that supported Palestinian women, especially in the contracting sector, in which there is a weak presence of the number of women in such sector.

For his part, Mr. Al-Qadi stressed the willingness to cooperate and coordinate with the Ministry of Women's Affairs in the field of motivating women in the contracting sector to grant facilities to women in enterprises, moreover, he suggested to give preference to women in government enterprises.

In conclusion, Ms. Al-Khalili welcomed the visit and expressed full readiness to hear and study all their ideas to support this sector, which is one of women's most important atypical sectors.

And, the tow sides agreed to discuss and examine the causes and obstacles to increasing women's participation in the contracting sector.
