The Minister of Women's Affairs, Ms. Mona Al-Khalili, confirmed in her meeting with gender units from different ministries, that the Ministry, in coordination and cooperation with all ministries and official institutions, is endeavoring to activate the role of gender units in order to serve women's issues and ensure that all policies take into account the rights and interests of women, especially in these complex political circumstances.

Then, she stressed the importance of collective action and coordination among the various ministries in addressing women's issues, especially in the light of political vision and a government program supportive of women and supportive of equality and combating discrimination against women. In particular, women in the Gaza Strip, women victims of occupation violence and settlers and women in targeted and marginalized areas and Jerusalem women.

Moreover, the Palestinian Government gives the highest priority to the protection and empowerment of women, as well as the improvement of women's political participation and economic and social status.

Furthermore, Ms. Al-khalili noted that gender units are on top of pursuing women's issues and rights and ensuring supportive policies and measures for women in various areas. And that the Ministry of Women's Affairs was responsible for developing and supporting such units in partnership, coordination and cooperation with all ministers and heads of official bodies.

lastly, the Minister concluded the meeting by listening to the interventions of gender units’ officials, their achievements, challenges and obstacles, as well as priorities for their work within the Government's action plan, where they also emphasized the importance of activating communication, and information exchange between the Ministry of Women's Affairs and all gender units in different institutions.

And she concluded the meeting by stressing the importance of these periodic meetings with them to follow up on all relevant priorities, issues and files. In addition to, the Ministry's readiness to support gender units and operation

أكدت وزيرة شؤون المرأة منى الخليلي أن الوزارة بالتنسيق والتعاون مع جميع الوزارات والمؤسسات الرسمية تحرص على تفعيل دور وحدات النوع الاجتماعي خدمة لقضايا المرأة وضمان مراعاة كافة السياسات لحقوق ومصالح النساء خصوصا في هذه الظروف السياسية المعقدة وفي ظل استمرار حرب الإبادة ضد قطاع غزة والعدوان المستمر في كافة محافظات الضفة الغربية وفي قلبها القدس.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء وزيرة شؤون المرأة منى الخليلي مع وحدات النوع الإجتماعي في الوزارات في مقر الوزارة اليوم، بحضور وكيل الوزارة داود الديك.
وأكدت الوزيرة الخليلي على أهمية العمل الجماعي والتنسيق بين مختلف الوزارات في تناولها لقضايا المرأة خصوصا في ظل توفر إرادة سياسية وبرنامج حكومي داعم للنساء وداعم للمساواة ومكافحة التمييز ضد النساء. وأشارت الوزيرة إلى أن الحكومة الفلسطينية تولي حماية النساء وتمكينهن أولوية قصوى، وكذلك تحسين أوضاعهن على صعيد المشاركة السياسية وعلى صعيد وضعهن الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.
وخصوصا النساء في قطاع غزة، والنساء ضحايا عنف الاحتلال والمستوطنين، والنساء في المناطق المستهدفة والمهمشة، والنساء المقدسيات.
وأشارت الوزيرة أن وحدات النوع الاجتماعي رأس حربة في متابعة قضايا النساء وحقوقهن وضمان سياسات وتدابير داعمة للنساء في مختلف المجالات. وأكدت أن وزارة شؤون المرأة معنية بتطوير ودعم هذه الوحدات بالشراكة والتنسيق والتعاون مع جميع الوزراء ومسؤولي الهيئات الرسمية.
واستمعت الوزيرة لمداخلات مسؤولات وحدات النوع الاجتماعي والانجازات التي تحققت، والتحديات والمعيقات، وكذلك أولويات عمل هذه الوحدات ضمن خطة عمل الحكومة. وأكدت المتداخلات على أهمية تفعيل الاتصال والتواصل وتبادل المعلومات بين وزارة شؤون المرأة ووحدات النوع الاجتماعي.
وفي نهاية اللقاء أكدت الوزيرة الخليلي على أهمية دورية الاجتماع مع وحدات النوع الاجتماعي لمتابعة كافة الأولويات والقضايا والملفات ذات الصلة. وأكدت الوزيرة على استعداد الوزارة لدعم وحدات النوع الاجتماعي وتفعيل دورها.
